History

Since 1994, the Austin Association of Hispanic Firefighters (AAHF) has advocated for progressive change in issues affecting the Hispanic communities. The AAHF strives for the advancement and promotion of all firefighters through the removal of barriers that may hinder their opportunity to achieve full potential.

SALTILLO SISTER CITY PROGRAM

Former Austin Mayor Gus Garcia, Former Firefighter and present day Mayor Pro Tem Mike Martinez, Saltillo City official and Fire Department Chief and early AAHF Leaders at the beginning period of present day Sister City Program. 

Legislative Activities

Then Governor G.W. Bush, State Senate and House Leaders, APD and AAHF Leaders present at Historic Meet & Confer signing.
